Our Worthy Grand Matron, Jo-Ann at the Statue of Liberty during the the cruise.
Our two tables on the dinner/cruise aboard the Spirit Cruise on Friday evening. The food was great, and the entertainment was fun. They played God Bless America while the ship paused at the Statue of Liberty. It was a very patriotic moving moment.
Saturday, we went on a 3 hour tour of New York City. We visited China Town and Ground Zero. That evening we went to Carmine's for a delicious Five Course Meal. We were "Almost" too full to go to see the play, The Lion King. Some of our tour had already see the Lion King and went to see Mama Mia. Both groups had a great time at the plays. When we arrived back at the hotel, there was a large gathering in the lobby. Upon investigation, we discovered Frankie Valli was there having just attended the opening of the Broadway Show, "Jersey Boys" a biography/review featuring the songs and life of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. How's that for ending a great weekend with good friends in the Big Apple!!!!!! Here is our Jo-Ann with Frankie - |
