MOST WORTHY GRAND MATRON’S
SPECIAL PROJECT

SERVICE DOGS

There are persons in this world who are visually impaired, hearing impaired/deaf, homebound because of physical
problems, and military returning from wars who are in dire need of a stabilizing influence in their lives. “Man’s Best Friend” is just the miracle worker who can do it.

Can you imagine yourself in any one of those conditions? Through the various Service Dog Programs, there is assistance, where many dogs are trained to make life livable for them. There are many programs to raise, train and provide Service Dogs for those Unfortunate circumstances; the many dedicated workers in these programs can use our assistance.

We can donate funds to buy necessities for the program. We can volunteer to take an active part through various puppy raising programs, dog training programs, assisting with publicity about the programs, and volunteering at licensed facilities.

What does this mean to the Order of the Eastern Star. We can become willing helpers in service for the good of humanity. Every Jurisdiction has some sort of program in which we can participate to enhance our status as a benevolent organization.

We have three contacts for those who are interested in information for these programs plus Service Dog Committee members ready to assist you in supporting our program:
